COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> JUNE 8, 2016 <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members Mary Gaffney, Virginia McIntyre, Jean Noussee, <br /> Marijo Gorney, Ernie Cornelssen, David Egel, Council on Aging Director Lynne <br /> Waterman. <br /> Absent: Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan,Norah McCormick and Outreach Coordinator <br /> Darlene Perkins <br /> Acting Chairman Marijo Gorney opened the meeting at 8:35 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES - May 11, 2016 <br /> Motion: Ernie Cornelssen moved to approve the minutes of May 11, 2016, seconded <br /> by Ginny McIntyre, Vote 5-0-1 with Mr. Egel abstaining <br /> Public Comments <br /> Mary Gaffney welcomed their new member, David Egel. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECT'OR'S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman also welcomed David Egel as their new member to the <br /> Council on Aging who was appointed by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of May. The Director <br /> highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. She and the <br /> Activity Coordinator met with the Director of Mashpee TV to plan a future program and <br /> they also met with staff from the local wound care center to plan a future program. <br /> The Director reported there were no van issues this past month and that she and the <br /> Outreach Coordinator met with the van drivers at their monthly meeting to see how the <br /> program is going. <br /> The Director thanked the DPW staff who made several small repairs to the building and <br /> completed yard work. The Director thanked the Friends of the Council on Aging who. <br /> agreed to support the purchase of a storage shed to be located behind the Senior Center. <br /> The Director reported the van drivers completed their annual training required by the <br /> Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and they also participated in a CPR refresher <br /> training course along with other COA staff. The Director announced that the Activity <br /> Coordinator Christine Foisy submitted her letter of resignation to be effective June 30. <br /> She expressed everyone's sincere gratitude to her for a job well done.
