COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> JULY 13,2016 <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members Virginia McIntyre, Jean Noussee, Marijo Gorney, <br /> Ernie Cornelssen, David Egel, Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan,Norah McCormick, Council <br /> on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins. <br /> Also Present: Wayne Taylor, Assistant Town Manager <br /> Absent: Mary Gaffney <br /> Chairman Ernie Cornelssen opened the meeting at 8.35 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES -June 8,2016 <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to approve the minutes of Jane 8,2016, seconded <br /> by Ginny McIntyre. Vote 8-0 <br /> Public Comments <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of June. The Director <br /> highlighted she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. She also met with <br /> the former activity coordinator to plan for future programs until this position is filled. <br /> She noted the SHINE Program will begin meeting in July one day a week. <br /> The Director reported she completed the annual inventory. She thanked the DPW who <br /> replaced lights and assisted with a pipe problem. She also noted the kitchen fire <br /> suppression system was completed. <br /> The Director reported she was recertified as MCOA Program Manager and that she <br /> completed the annual evaluation for the principal clerk. <br /> The Director reported the annual volunteer event was successful. Chang Joo Lee was <br /> recognized as the most Valuable Volunteer and Geraldine Gohring was recognized as the <br /> Rookies Volunteer. She thanked everyone who helped make the event a success. <br /> The Director reviewed the meetings she attended. The Director stated her goals for the <br /> month are to complete tasks associated with the new fiscal year budget,write the formula <br /> grant and plan fall activities. <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to accept the Director's report,seconded by Ginny <br /> McIntyre. Vote unanimous 8-0 <br />
