Matt Costa, Cape and Islands Engineering, represented the applicant. He explained they had <br /> a previous approval to renovate the house and put on an addition. He said they are now <br /> looking at a total raze and rebuild with a change in footprint, He outlined where the old footprint <br /> is and where the new footprint will be. They are moving a little further away from the tree and <br /> eliminated the patio in the back. Their overall impervious area has increased by 300 square <br /> feet. They would like to keep mitigation the same with the osprey nest out on the spit. If the <br /> Commission wishes to add more plantings on the bank they would be agreeable. Alterations <br /> to the septic system is the same. They are not moving any closer to the resource areas. <br /> The Agent reviewed the resource areas: coastal bank armored, land under ocean, all work <br /> will be contained in the buffer zone. No removal of any existing vegetation, retaining the oak <br /> specimen. He requested the replanting of grass be adhered to the lawn standards. The <br /> location of the osprey nest is located on the spit which is a nice location. Mr. Costa noted the <br /> limit of work on the plan. The Agent stated the additional mitigation can be looked at as the <br /> work progresses. <br /> No comments from the public. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to approve the Amended Order of Conditions as described, <br /> seconded by Mr. Shaw. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> 6:27-Edward W. and Judith E. McDonough, 5 Brassie Way. Proposed septic system <br /> upgrade.-RDA <br /> Resource Area: Flood Zone, buffer to freshwater wetland <br /> Peter McEntee, Engineering Works, represented the applicant. He explained the proposed <br /> project is to install an updated septic system and is before the Commission due to the fact they <br /> are in the flood zone. <br /> The Agent stated the plan has been submitted to the Board of Health and is under review. <br /> No comments from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Shaw moved a negative determination, seconded by Mr. McKay. Vote <br /> unanimous, 4-0 <br /> 6:30 Joseph H. and Dianne M. Appleman, 91 Edgewater Road. Vote to Revoke <br /> Determination of Applicability permit. REVOKE PERMIT <br /> Resource Areas: Santuit Pond, Inland Bank and Land under waterbodies and <br /> waterways buffer zone <br /> The Agent stated that his request to revoke a permit that was issued to ,Joseph and Dianne <br /> Appleman. The hearing date was filed February 12, 2016. This was an extension of an existing <br /> deck structure. He referred to his report he.prepared for the Commissioners "Violation History <br /> 91 Edgewater Drive (Appleman Residence)" . <br /> 4125113: RDA approval for pruning of seven trees, gas fire pit on existing platform and removal <br /> of 5 hazardous trees. Upon post work inspection, the Agent noted that 2 additional large trees <br /> had been removed from the backyard within 100 feet of the top of the inland bank. Mr. <br />
