Land Subject to Flooding by Coastal Storm <br /> Flowage <br /> Mark Flaherty, Flaherty & Stefani, Inc, was representing the applicant and explained the <br /> project consists of the construction of a septic system repair and upgrade, new water, gas <br /> and electric services and repair to a paved driveway within a MA Velocity Zone. The <br /> project is primarily outside the 100 foot buffer to BVW's surrounding Dean's Pond. <br /> He stated the Board of Health has approved the 3 bedroom septic system. It will be <br /> located as far away from the pond as possible. The system will be at grade. <br /> The Agent commented that the reseeding of lawn has to meet the Mashpee lawn <br /> standards. He described the <br /> proposed project consists of pumping the existing septic tank and filling it with sand. A <br /> new gravity fed septic system will be installed in the front yard. The soil absorption system <br /> will be approximately 140' from the salt marsh and 95' from the top of the coastal bank. <br /> He noted that the disturbed areas will be returned to its existing condition. The Board of <br /> Health approved the plans for a conventional Title V system to accommodate an existing <br /> three bedroom dwelling. <br /> The Agent noted the lawn patching needs to meet Mashpee lawn standards and stated <br /> the Board of Health has approved the plans.
