Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Tuesday, May 17, 2016 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Jonathan Furbush, Joseph Cummings, and <br /> Michael Mendoza. <br /> Also Present: John Phelan – Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. <br /> 13 Lake Avenue <br /> Naukabout Beer Company, LLC <br /> Applicant proposes to operate a Brewery (Micro) <br /> In a structure which has been previously utilized for <br /> A full-service restaurant use. <br /> Representative – Kevin Kirrane <br /> Kevin Kirrane (Attorney), Peter Murner (Co-Owner), Zachary Basinski (Project <br /> Manager), and Steve Cook (Cotuit Bay Design) appeared. Attorney Kirrane said <br /> the site is a bit of landmark in Mashpee. He noted the site is completely <br /> surrounded by Town-owned land—no residential abutters. The proposal to go <br /> before the Planning Board is to convert the restaurant building into a micro <br /> brewery/brewery pub. He showed pictures of the existing building and photos of <br /> a micro brewery in Martha's Vineyard. The proposal and Site Plan were <br /> reviewed. <br /> • Applicant decided to go into renovation of the building, rather than <br /> replacement. <br /> • Replacing outside of building with new materials, with new roof; and fence <br /> will be around good portion of the building, as well as a fenced patio area. <br /> • Typical Cape Cod colors will be used. <br /> • Small portion at rear of building will be torn down and replaced with patio <br /> area around rear and around side of the building. Trestle will be above <br /> patio for shading. <br /> • Question: Jonathan Furbush asked whether any music, etc. would be in <br /> the patio area. Peter Murner responded if entertainment permit was <br /> allowed, they would only have a singer/musician with no amplification. <br /> • Re-striping the parking area. <br /> • Proposal will go before Conservation Committee because site within so- <br /> called water district because pond is considered to be some sort of river <br /> system. <br />
