61 Echo Road (continued)
Si na e
Mr. Chamberlain said they are proposing wall-mounted sign on South Side that
will be under 20 square feet. It will be a simple sign with company name. Also a
very small sign at the driveway on a stone wall to left of the entrance is being
considered but decision not made yet.
Mike Mendoza said with the possibility of the end unit being rented out, where
would the renter's signage go? Brendan Driscoll responded he would think it
would be a flat building-mounted sign; no outside sign. Jonathan Furbush
cautioned him to keep in mind total square footage allowed on building so exact
numbers related to signage must be on Plan. Applicant will do this.
Applicant was advised that details on signage are to be submitted to.this
Committee for review. Also, suggested that street number be placed on sign at
the entrance. They said they will do so.
Landscape Plan
Jonathan Furbush stated that some of the buildings on Echo Road look bad, but
some look nice. He said one of the buildings had put some shutters on the
building that really dressed it up. He suggested that the Applicant consider
inexpensive shutters and also adding some perennials/shrubs would look nice,
Owner Brendan Driscoll agreed and said he will look at dressing up the
appearance.
CONCLUSION
MOTION: Jonathan Furbush motioned to approve the Plan as discussed with .
the information on the signage coming back to Design Review along with Plan on
shutters and shrub/perennial plantings that would upgrade that entire street.
Joseph Cummings seconded this motion; and it was approved by Design
Review, with Michael Mendoza abstaining.
Mike Mendoza stated the project will now move forward to the next Hearing, but
Applicant will have to come back to another Design Review Hearing with Plan on
signage and the information requested by this Board. Applicant was informed
the next Design Review Meeting is scheduled for August 16.
2
