Sign Expense Warrants. The Board members signed the expense warrants. <br /> 2. Review/Approve BOH Public Session Minutes: June 23, 2016. <br /> Brian Baumgaertel made a motion that the Board of Health approve the Public Session minutes of June 23, <br /> 2016, as presented. Lucy Burton seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> 3. Request for 2016 Mobile Food Permit: Wamp Wheels. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that Datanya Rezendes originally applied for a temporary food permit for the Mashpee <br /> Family Picnic and Fireworks. During the inspection at the event, Mr. Harrington observed a copy of the class <br /> taken for the Allergen Awareness Certificate on their cell phone. Ms. Rezendes did not have an opportunity to <br /> print the certificate for submission. Mr. Harrington will also request a menu, as one was not provided. <br /> Lucy Burton made a motion that the Board of Health approve the Wamp Wheels 2016 Mobile Food Permit with <br /> the condition of receipt of the Allergen Awareness Certificate and a copy of the menu. Brian Baumgaertel <br /> seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> 4. Enforcement & Penalty: Rodent Control Regulation. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that he received five rat complaints last week and weekly before that. This <br /> occurred before the article on rodents was published in The Mashpee Enterprise. Veronica Warden, Assistant <br /> Health Agent, investigated rodent complaints three times this week at different areas of Oak Hollow <br /> Condominium. <br /> Mr. Harrington investigated some of the other complaints. The only place he confirmed the presence of rodents <br /> was at Beechwood Point Condominium at around the dumpster that services Buildings #1 and #2. The pest <br /> control company has been contacted and will be setting traps and bait at Beechwood Point Condominium on <br /> Thursday, July 21, 2016. Mr. Harrington will perform a follow-up inspection on Friday. <br /> Mr. Harrington remarked that he is looking for guidance from the Board to standardize the penalties and <br /> enforcement. Mr. Harrington and the Board of Health discussed rodent control consisting of prevention and <br /> fines. Mr. Harrington was informed that over-the-counter pesticides do not work. The hiring of a professional is <br /> recommended because stronger pesticides are utilized. Mr. Harrington plans to promote education <br /> electronically and through the media. <br /> 1 <br />
