Mrs. Botsford reviewed the report and explained any
discrepancies.
Accounts_Payables: Mrs. Botsford presented the warrants for review and signature. The warrants for
signature tonight are for the month of March 2016 and total as follows: $53,857.44 for 4001, $3,009.00
for Section S, $45,038.00 for MRVP, $40,493.73 for Asher's Path Apartments, $350.76 for HAP, and
$10,071.77 for Great Cove Community.
Mrs. Botsford reported that we have rents paid in full at all developments and that we are 100% occupied
at Asher's Path, Breezy Acres, and Great Cove Community. Homeyer Village has one vacancy that will be
leased by the end of April and we are expecting another vacancy at the end of April, which we have
already started processing an applicant for.
A motion was made by Richard Halpern and seconded by Jill Allen to accept the Treasurer's
Report as presented. The motion was adopted.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT& UPDATES:
Mrs. Botsford stated she had mailed her report for March and had the following additions:
• I received my LIHTC certification — level nine.
• Junior Honor Society starting this Sunday at Asher's Path—Cyber Seniors. Fliers will be
distributed tomorrow so that residents are aware of the program, and it will also be in the
upcoming newsletters.
• GCC—sprinkler system failed inspection and Water Department, HAC, Vincent and I all met with
the original installer of the system (FSS). It was negotiated that they would correct the problem
by flushing the system and then random water samples would be taken by us and sent out for
testing.
• I attended training for Commbuys, which is the state's website for purchasing products that have
already been procured by the state. Vendors have contracts to provide products/services for
lower costs to municipalities.
• The lottery for re-opening the Asher's Path 30% wait list was conducted. There were only 3
participants.
• Our last Capital Improvement.lob of this Fiscal Year is to replace the oldest hot water
heater/boiler at Homeyer Village. The bids are due in May 12 and so I expect that next month
we will be voting on that and hopefully the job will be completed by the end of June.
• At the end of May I'll be starting the process for our Fiscal Year 2017 Capital Improvement Plan.
I am hoping to get a parking lot expansion job into the plan, so Vincent and our DHCD Project
Manager are working on getting some rough figures together for the cost, so that it can go into
the plan.
• There was a meeting of the audit firms, DHCD, and MassNAHRO to review the inconsistencies of
the firms and the resulting "findings". It was agreed by all at that meeting that there was a lot of
clarification that had to be made with the firms so that everything is done consistently. As a
result of that meeting, DHCD has announced that all reports based on the Agreed Upon
Procedures (AUP) audits will be withdrawn and placed in draft format permanently.
OLD BUSINESS:
a) CPC— Home Repair Program Proposal: Mrs. Botsford had previously sent documents pertaining
to this proposed CPC application to board members.
