Mashpee - Wakeby Lake Management <br /> Committee <br /> July 28,2016 <br /> 7:30 PM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Meeting called by: Debi McManus <br /> Type of meeting: Monthly <br /> Secretary Barbara B.Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Don MacDonald, Barbara Nichols,Andrew Gottlieb, Selectman <br /> Liaison, <br /> Guests: Alec Turner,Harbormaster <br /> The minutes of June 23, 2016 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Don Mac Donald and <br /> second by Debi McManus. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow <br /> Discussion: The lake levels were done on July 5"' by Brian Mauro and on the 15 I by Barbara Nichols. <br /> Both were at 55.2 feet above sea level, and 8 and 9.25 inches of water was flowing over the board closest <br /> to the lake. There were 10 and 7.5 inches of water on the stream by the stairs. Precipitation remains <br /> extremely low. Measurements were sent to Drew McManus in Conservation and Barbara also notified <br /> him that the path was growing in with poison ivy and weeds. Drew emailed that he would take care of it <br /> and on July 215, Drew emailed that the path had been cleared. <br /> Conclusions: With little precipitation, the lake continues to drop. <br /> [Agenda topic 2] Spring newsletter <br /> Discussion: The newsletter was approved by Rodney Collins and the format improved by Christine <br /> Willander. Barbara sent the newsletter to David Del Vecchio and he emailed that he had placed it on the <br /> Town web site on June 30th. Twenty five copies if the newsletter were printed for us in the town office, <br /> and placed on the rack at Town Hall. <br /> Conclusions: The spring newsletter is available on the web site and at Town hall. <br />
