Collins <br /> Assistant Town Manager Wayne E. Taylor <br /> Town Moderator Jeremy Carter <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Avis at 6:33 p,m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hail, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> To consider or interview applicants for employment or appointment by a preliminary screening <br /> committee provided the Chair declares that an open meeting will have a detrimental effect in <br /> obtaining qualified applicants, and to reconvene in Open Session. <br /> It was determined that it is not necessary for the Finance Committee to enter into Executive <br /> Session at this time. <br /> Jeremy Carter,the Town Moderator was in attendance to review the recommendation made by <br /> the Finance Committee at their August 11, 2016 meeting to appoint Andrew McKelvey to the <br /> vacant Finance Committee position. <br /> In accordance with the mandates of the HOME Rule Charter,the Town Moderator has the <br /> authority to make appointments to the Finance Committee. Members of the Finance Committee <br /> discussed their rationales as to why they chose to recommend Mr. McKelvey for appointment. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT-None at this time. <br />
