Capital Improvement Projects—FYI 7-FY21 (continued) <br /> PC-9—High School Track and Field...Resurface track and put in artificial turf to expand field. Now <br /> have Middle School there,as well as High School so they don't have enough held space. living Goldberg <br /> cautioned to be very careful in selecting artificial turf since some bad feedback has come to light. <br /> PC-10---Sewer or Septic System at Town Hall...Proposing connecting to sewer system. <br /> PC-11 thru PC-13...Roof replacement at High School, Quashnet School, and Police Station. Local <br /> vendor assessments appear to be high. <br /> PC-14—Replace Fire Station Generator...Generator at Fire Station hit by lightening. <br /> PC-15—Smoke/heat detectors and windows...These items need upgrading at Coombs School. Looking <br /> to be proactive. <br /> Patty DeBoer said she would like to add the following 2 items to the list: <br /> 1. Air conditioning for High School upstairs. Catherine commented that would be costly. Paul <br /> Funk said perhaps using Chili It air conditioning system might be an alternative. <br /> 2. Patty said most schools have bathroom hand dryers---she suggested upgrading to more <br /> powerful/efficient units. Steve Cook suggested getting numbers and then decide whether merely <br /> need to replace. <br /> Consensus was reached that in order for the Committee to go forward in reviewing the Capital Budget <br /> items,they should meet with the Town Manager to review the list and get his input. Catherine will <br /> contact the Town Manager to see whether he is available to attend the next PCC meeting. <br /> Paul Funk noted that Cape Tech is going for renovation and that becomes part of Town's debt also. Paul <br /> said Town Manager knows about that project. <br /> Next Meetin ...Meeting tentatively scheduled for 4:30 p.m.,Thursday,June 9,2016 at Town Hall;and a <br /> back-up meeting tentatively scheduled for 4:30 p.m.,Tuesday,June 14, 2016 at Town Hall. <br /> Ad'ournment <br /> Following adjournment the meeting will convene for site visits to the DPW, Quashnet School, and <br /> Archives building.
