Minutes of Meeting of Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 Mashpee Town Hall Popponesset Meeting Room Plan Review Members Present: Michael Mendoza , Building Commissioner Wayne Taylor, Assistant Town Manager Tom Fudala, Town Planner Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent Glen Harrington, Health Agent Thomas Rullo, Fire Chief Catherine Laurent, DPW Director Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. 168 Industrial Drive -- Mashpee Industrial Realty, LLC Applicant proposes to construct additional parking Spaces in areas formally landscaped. Engineer: Matt Eddy/Baxter Nye Engineering Representative -- Kevin Kirrane Attorney Kevin Kirrane appeared and said Applicant basically filed an application with the Planning Board to add 24 parking spaces at the site because parking was an issue with people parking on the street, etc. He said it made more sense to create parking on the site, rather than an on-street solution. This will add 24 parking spaces to the site—creating a total of 174 spaces on-site. Committee Comments • Tom Rullo said it does not change the profile; Fire Department access still complete. • Catherine Laurent asked if parking to be banned on Industrial Drive. Kevin Kirrane responded "no", just expecting parking on street will be unnecessary with addition of on-site spaces. • Tom Fudala said it goes against everything addressed in the By-Law, but building needs it...making the best of a bad situation. • Glen Harrington asked whether it interferes with any of the drainage. Response: "no". • Mike Mendoza said one question he raised was answered to his satisfaction at Design Review Meeting regarding handicap parking and handicap van parking. Conclusion: Glen Harrington motioned to move as presented; Andrew McManus seconded the motion; and it was unanimously passed by Pian Review. Approval of Minutes Catherine Laurent motioned to approve the Minutes of Plan Review Committee Meeting of October 18, 2016 as amended; Andrew McManus seconded the motion; and the motion was passed, with Tom Rullo and Wayne Taylor abstaining.
