State required Phase 1 inspections for all <br /> dams connected to herring runs. All Mashpee Phase 1 inspections passed and we didn't have to go <br /> beyond that. <br /> Drew noted the Office of Dam Safety, which is under State Conservation & Recreation, requires <br /> submission of phase 1 inspections for all dams, etc. connected to herring runs (like Santuit Pond, <br /> Mashpee Wakeby, and the outlet that goes under Rt 130 which is considered to be a dam under their <br /> definition.) <br /> Drew said the State is doing workshops on culverts assessment and replacements. <br /> Drew said DPW has been doing on-going assessments of street crossings. <br /> Action Item #21...Improvement of culvert situation... <br /> Drew said a lot of work needs to be done at Child's River because of blogs.
