He is continuing Patrick Flynn's project that occurred earlier this year to re-
establish a kayak landing along with landscape and hardscape improvements at 95
Timberlake Drive at Santuit Pond. Since he has contractors lined up to do the work and
he is under a time constraint he will be presenting the project and two weeks from
tonight he will come back with an after the fact RDA.
Nicholas Dostilio (Applicant), 95 Timberlane Drive. Eagle Scout proposal to re-
establish kayak, landing along with landscape and hardscape improvements.
Owner of record: Town of Mashpee RDA
Nicholas explained the area will be excavated (by hand) to get rid of the overgrowth and
flatten the area. A berm will be made to protect the pond from runoff and a filter fabric
will be placed down as well as the sand. He also explained the path on the hill will be
dug out to put in the backfill and timbers will be placed for stairs for people to walk down.
The vegetation along the shoreline will be maintained except for the established boat
landing. Katelyn commented it is a beneficial project for the town and an improvement
on this area. It is a continuance of a project that has already been completed. The
Agent noted the area of the project on a photo and stated it is a good project overall. He
noted if the Commissioners approve the project, Nicholas will come back with an after
the fact RDA to cover the work.
Motion: Mr. Smith moved to approve the project at 95 Timberline Drive as
described by Nicholas Dostilio with the understanding he will be coming back to
the Commission with an after-the-fact RDA. Seconded by Mr. Shaw. Vote
unanimous 5-0
Minutes: Approve September 28, 2017 Minutes
Hold Until October 26th Meeting
l
