MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 23, 2017 <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />57 Secousett Island Rd: Steve Cook, Cotuit Bay Design to discuss zoning of the two decks. <br />Mr. Steve Cook, Cotuit Bay Design asked to address the Board of regarding a violation letter from <br />the Building Commissioner. The builder built the decks without permits and there are code <br />violations. There are also zoning violations. Mr. Cook wanted to get some direction from the Board <br />on how to correct the issue. He is proposing to remove the deck over the septic tank, and pull the <br />supports off the SAS tank and cantilever the second floor joists. He said that this will decrease the <br />lot coverage to 23.8% from 26.4%. The Board gave their opinions that they would not approve the <br />project. Mr. Cook said he will report back to the Building Commissioner for further discussion. <br />-Approve August 9, 2017 Meeting Minutes <br />Mr. Gould made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Mr. Pittsley seconded. All were in <br />favor. <br />Mr. DeBarros made a motion to adjourn. Ron seconded. All were in favor.
