Town of Mashpee� <br />16 Great Neck Apart Xorth <br />` C;A°'' Mashpee, MassaclilisettsD2649. <br />MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MARCH 23, 2016 <br />MINUTES <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, March 23, <br />2016, at 6:00 p.m. in the Waquoit Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road <br />North. Chairman, Jonathan D. Furbush, Vice Chairman, William A. Blaisdell, Board <br />Members, Scott Goldstein, Domingo DcBarros, Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and <br />Norman J. Gould were present. Board Members Ron Bonvie was absent. Also present was <br />Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Furbush announced the meeting was televised live on local Mashpee TV. He <br />also announced that the four regular Board Members and Associate Members Norman J. <br />Gould was sitting in on this hearing, and will alternate the other petitions between Mr. <br />Gould and Associate Mr. Pittsley. <br />NEW HEARINGS <br />15 Scenic Drive: Owner, Claire Z. Poole requests a 5 ft. Variance of the side yard setback <br />under § 174-31 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for construction of an attached garage on <br />property located in an R-5 Zoning District (Map 37 Parcel 160), Mashpee, MA. <br />Ms. Claire Poole represented herself requesting an attached garage. She said the original <br />plans for the property had a garage design, but it was never built. The plan she submitted <br />with the application depicted a 15' x 22' garage, and an addition in the rear of her property <br />that has a building permit and is currently under construction. She said other properties in <br />the neighborhood are similar in structure to hers and have garages. <br />Chairman Furbush made a condition that it be a one story garage. The Board didn't have <br />any issues and there were no comments from the audience. <br />Mr. Blaisdell made a motion to approve the application for a 5 ft. Variance. Mr. Goldstein seconded, yes, Mr. Furbush, yes, Mr. DeBarros, yes, and Mr. Gould, <br />yes. All were in favor of the 5 ft. Variance for the attached single -car one story garage <br />project. <br />
