Mashpee Waterways Commission Meeting May 10, 2016 P.3 <br />_. <br />aterways Improvement ment Plan and Dredging: Ken Bates reported that all seasonal <br />dredging work is complete with the dredging of the Popponesset Approach Channel. <br />Pre and post dredge survey plans need to be reviewed <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Request by Mike Ronhock for shellfish license for 10 years in Great River. <br />Mike presented chart of area for which he is seeking a license. Ken Bates <br />advised Mike of the possible future use of proposed area for dredge material and <br />that shell fish equipment cannot be in place when a dredge is pending. Mike <br />stated "OK" to both caveats. <br />Mike offered to Rick York paperwork he had completed to date to support the <br />license request. Rick asked Mike to not give him any documentation until Mike <br />can submit a complete application which will need to be reviewed by Shellfish <br />Constable and the Harbormaster. <br />No vote required by Waterways Commission until the application has been <br />approved by Shellfish Constable and Harbormaster. <br />• Articles for October Town Meeting due June 1,2016 to include: <br />(1) Request for Transfer of $65,000 for a 5,000CY dredge of the Popponesset <br />Approach Channel, a long haul dredge. <br />(2) Request for Transfer of $26,000 for a 2000CY dredge of Great River/Little <br />River Channel, a long haul dredge. <br />(3) Request of Transfer $37,800 for a 4200CY dredge of the 1916 Channel, a <br />short haul dredge. <br />(4) Request for Transfer of$100,000 for engineering/review study to extend <br />present Great River Little River Channel to Waquoit main channel (improvement <br />dredge) and connection of Little River to Hamblin Pond improvement dredge. <br />(5)Request for Transfer of $15,000 for the purpose of purchasing equipment <br />hardware for maintenance of the waterways channels by the Harbormaster/DNR <br />Department. <br />* Our short haul site not approved as of this time so calculations are for a <br />long haul dredge. <br />
