Stalked mushroom mooring to be <br />pulled <br />Johns Pond <br />➢ Complaint of people walking along edge of water on private land <br />➢ On-going issues of use of personal watercraft -consider inspection of <br />personal watercraft at ramp to minimize use of personal watercraft with <br />problems <br />• Popponesset Bay Area -nothing to report <br />Waquoit Bay Area -nothing to report <br />Water Quality Update/ Water Sampling: <br />➢ 2016 sample collection activities complete. Samples collected on four <br />dates with 8 boats participating on each sampling date <br />➢ Presentation on September 22, 2016 to Board of Selectmen by Brian <br />Howes from UMASS Dartmouth <br />• Sewer Committee Update: Al Wickel did not attend meeting <br />• Public Access Update: <br />➢ Pirates Cove (Ed Baker) Float Project: Review of plans and discussion <br />about the dingy racks <br />➢ Bids are due by September 21St, contract to be awarded on September <br />26th with work expected to be completed by October 31St. <br />➢ There was lengthy discussion on the location of the dingy racks with <br />thoughts to locate them on the right of the ramp cantilevered toward the <br />ramp and on the left of the ramp or in the 5 car parking area. More study <br />to follow. <br />• Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging: Ken stated work on the <br />comprehensive Permit was very close to being complete. Two more documents <br />are needed. The Dead Neck disposal site was discussed and Ken was sending <br />
