4 <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes <br />January 13, 2015 <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Review & Approval of Annual Town Meeting Article: <br />Administrative & Operating Expense Budget: <br />Motion made by Mr. Kaplan to approve and recommend to the May 2015 <br />Town Meeting, the appropriation of $40,000 from the Budgeted Reserve to <br />the FY 2016 Administrative and Operating Expense Account of the <br />Community Preservation Committee. <br />Motion seconded by Ms. Waygan. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Mr. Halpern, yes Mr. Kaplan, yes <br />Mrs. Buschenfeldt, yes Mr. Taylor, yes <br />Ms. Waygan, yes Mr. Lord, yes <br />Opposed, none <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS: <br />Dawn Tha er Town Accountant — Review of CPC Finances: <br />Discussion followed with regards to the proposed transfer of the Bathhouse/Picnic <br />Pavilion from the John's Pond Beach Improvement Project to the Heritage Park <br />Recreational Project. The Town maintains possession of this structure, and it is <br />deemed cost prohibitive at the John's Pond site location. The Community <br />Preservation Committee voted to approve the transfer with no cost associated to <br />the initial reassignment of this facility. <br />Last month, the matter was reviewed with the Community Preservation Coalition <br />in Boston. The transfer is permissible with or without funding pending on a vote <br />of the CPC and by favorable Town Meeting action. At the last CPC Meeting it <br />was voted the article would be subject to Town Counsel's review. <br />Mrs. Thayer also offered advisement with respect to several procedural questions. <br />
