Vote unanimous 8-0 <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Director Waterman distributed the budget report and reviewed the budget figures with the <br />members. There was a discussion on the energy line item which is better than anticipated <br />at this point due to a mild winter but this could change at any point. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Ginny <br />McIntyre. Vote unanimous 8-0 <br />OUTREACH COORDINATOR REPORT <br />Darlene Perkins distributed her report for the month of December. She thanked all of <br />the people who helped provide a Happy Holiday to over 50 Mashpee Seniors this year. <br />She also thanked the Capers who provided 10 bags containing handmade shawls and gift <br />cards, Home Instead, the New Seabury Women's Club, The Mashpee Men's Club and <br />The Friends to Mashpee COA who donated gifts to fill 30 bags to be delivered by <br />volunteers. Darlene also thanked the Mashpee Congregational Church who donated 10 <br />turkey baskets, <br />Darlene said she along with a volunteer is working on fuel assistance. She distributed <br />information on the prescription advantage program and reviewed the application required <br />to apply. The coordinator said they had 14 volunteer rides this month and had (11) 90 + <br />birthdays that received flowers. She noted how much the seniors enjoy these home visits <br />and invited the members of the Council on Aging to go along with a volunteer to one of <br />these visits. <br />Darlene reviewed the meetings she attended: Hoarding Task Force, Elder Services of <br />Cape Cod Board of Directors meeting. Cape Outreach Coordinator's monthly meeting. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding the progress that is being made with the Hoarding <br />Task Force, <br />Director Waterman thanked Darlene for all of her hard work with the holiday gift <br />program. <br />In response to a question, Darlene noted 29 seniors took part in the Brown Bag Program <br />and stated she could use some help in developing a recipe packet for this program. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Outreach Coordinator's Report, <br />seconded by Norah McCormick.
