COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br />JULY 8, 2015 <br />Present: Council on Aging Members Irving Goldberg, rack Jordan, Jean Noussee, <br />Virginia McIntyre, Mary Gaffney, Ernest Cornelssen, Council on Aging Director Lynne <br />Waterman, Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins. <br />Absent: Marijo Gorney, Norah McCormick <br />Chairman Irving Goldberg opened the meeting at 8:35 a.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES — June 10, 2015 <br />Motion: Jack Jordan moved to approve the minutes of June 10, 2015, seconded by <br />Jean Noussee. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />Public Comments <br />None <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br />DIRECTOR' S REPORT <br />Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of rune. <br />The Director reported she met with the leaders of several activities to get updates with <br />how they are operating and to plan for their summer and fall sessions. She announced <br />that the Mashpee Council on Aging received an award from AARP in Massachusetts in <br />appreciation for the support we have given them in hosting their Smart Driver courses at <br />the Mashpee Senior Center. <br />The Director said there were no issues with the van this past month. She reported the <br />annual inspection of the kitchen fire suppression system and the building alarm were <br />recently done and the annual inspection of the first aid kits and defibrillator were <br />performed. She noted the tank that is over the stove may have to be replaced next year as <br />well as the defibrillator. <br />The Director reported on the meetings she attended: The Parkinson's Support Network <br />of Cape Cod Board of Directors and Programs Committee, (COAST) (Cape Cod Senior <br />Center Directors), Mashpee Human Services Committee, Staff, Mashpee Cares, Mashpee <br />Cultural Council and Elder Services Mature Workers Supervisor' Annual Meeting, The <br />Director along with the Outreach Coordinator met with staff from the Wampanoag Tribal <br />Council to discuss working together to benefit seniors in the community. <br />The Director thanked the Volunteer Coordinator Deborah Converse for organizing <br />another successful volunteer recognition luncheon. She reported she completed the <br />
