volunteer is helping Mashpee seniors with medical insurance during the months of July <br />and August. The Coordinator reviewed the meetings she attended. Elder Services of <br />Cape Cod and Islands Board of Directors, Cape Outreach Coordinator's monthly <br />meeting, the Director of the Department of Transitional Assistance. <br />Motion.: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Outreach Coordinator's Report, <br />seconded by Jack Jordan. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT <br />The Director distributed the Volunteer Coordinator Report. The Volunteer Coordinator <br />reported she and the volunteer committee have been assessing the Volunteer Recognition <br />and discussing changes that might happen and stated she is still welcoming suggestions. <br />She reported she has posted on the walls of the Senior Center collages of volunteers in <br />action and will continue to take pictures of volunteers at work. She noted S new <br />volunteers have been enrolled in June and the scrapbooks are available for viewing in the <br />Library. The estimate of the volunteer hours for last year is 9,670. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Volunteer Coordinator Report, <br />seconded by Mary Gaffney. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />ACTIVITY COORDINATOR REPORT <br />Director Waterman distributed the Activity Coordinator Report for June and highlighted <br />several programs: Investigating and Solving Actual Crimes on Cape Cod, Current Events <br />Discussion, Massachusetts AARP Safe Driving Program, Caregivers 10 1, Volunteer <br />Recognition Luncheon„ Dining Around, 6os Social Club, Wedding Vows Renewal, <br />Movies, and Aerobics for the Brain. <br />Motion: Jeanne Nousse moved to accept the Activity Coordinator Report, seconded <br />by Jack Jordan. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />Old Business <br />The Director reminded the COA board members whose terms were up at the end of June <br />to sign appointment book. <br />New Business <br />The Director gave an update on the Massachusetts Association of Councils on Aging. <br />They were successful in moving the $S figure in the formula grant increase to $9 and are <br />hoping to have the senior centers offer new programs. <br />Motion: Ernie Cornelssen moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Jean <br />Noussee. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />
