Program which was also attended by several Cape legislators and the focus of the <br />discussions were on the needs of seniors and senior centers on Cape Cod. <br />The Director also attended the annual conference of the Massachusetts Councils on <br />Aging. She attended several workshops: .LGBT programming for elders, mental health <br />peer counseling, personnel, the aging and disability network, marketing/publicity and <br />financial. She also toured a local assisted living facility. <br />The Director noted her goals were to update the new member orientation form and <br />Council on Aging brochure, interview applicants for property tax work off program and <br />beginning the placement process and plan programs for January and February with the <br />Activity Coordinator. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Director's Report, seconded by Norah <br />McCormick. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />Director Waterman distributed the budget report and reviewed the budget figures with the <br />members. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Ernie <br />Cornelssen. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />Lynne Waterman distributed the Outreach Coordinator's report in the absence of Darlene <br />Perkins for the month of October. She highlighted the home visits, fuel assistance, <br />hoarding 'issues, mailbox sticker program, finding medical equipment and information on <br />homecare for parents, She also noted there were 30 participants in the Brown Bag <br />program. The Director also noted that the Outreach Coordinator met monthly with <br />volunteers. Ten Mashpee residents 90-+- received flowers. Darlene continues meeting <br />with the volunteers who work on the friendly visitor and telephone a Friend program. <br />The Outreach Coordinator attended the Hoarding Task Force, Outreach Coordinators <br />meeting, Independence House Training and the World Cafe training. Her goals are <br />planning holiday gift giving, implementing the mail box sticker program and increasing <br />number of Brown Bag participants. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Outreach Coordinator's Report, <br />seconded by Ernie Cornelssen.. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />
