VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT <br />The Director distributed Deborah Converse's Volunteer Coordinator Report for the <br />month of October. The Emergency Preparedness workshop was held on October 21 <br />which provided useful guidelines of items to have available as we approach the winter. <br />The last workshop of 2015 will be held on November 4 with the volunteers who drive <br />people to doctors' appointments. The drivers will have the opportunity to discuss <br />different situations they have had. The Volunteer Recognition Brunch has been <br />scheduled for June 10 at New Seabury. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Volunteer Coordinator Report, <br />seconded by Ginny McIntyre. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />ACTIVITY COORDINATOR REPORT <br />Director Waterman distributed. Christine Foisy, Activity Coordinator's report for <br />October. She highlighted several programs: Emotions of Aging, Just for Laughs, <br />Medicare Open Enrollment, Cancer Wellness, and Friends Fashion Show. Also the <br />Mashpee seniors were invited by the Wampanoag Tribe to visit their center for a tour. <br />There was a large turnout and another program will be held in November. She also noted <br />the Social Dining Around lunch and the Halloween Party. <br />Motion: Ernie Cornelssen moved to accept the Activity Coordinator Report, <br />seconded by Jean Noussee. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br />Old Business <br />None <br />New Business <br />The Director distributed a handout from Massachusetts Aging Network which depicted <br />several programs, how they are run and who they report to. <br />Another handout was an Article from the Wall Street Journal "To Lure Baby Boomers, <br />Senior Centers Try Rebranding, <br />A third handout was "The Best Retirement Communities in Every State" of which <br />Barnstable County was #2. <br />The Director reminded the members of their appointments and expiration dates. <br />
