MASHPEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION <br />MINUTES OF MEETING HELD <br />APRIL 14, 2015 <br />TOWN HALL — ADMINISTRATIVE CONFERENCE ROOM <br />Present: Carol Sherman, Chairman <br />Terrie Cook <br />Robyn Simmons <br />Dino Mitrokostas <br />Tom Mayo, Assistant Town Manager <br />1. Carol Sherman, Chairman, opened the meeting at 5:23 p.m. <br />2. Approval of Minutes --- March 19, 2015 <br />Motion: Terrie Cook moved to approve and hold the minutes of March 19, 2415, <br />seconded by Robyn Simmons. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br />3. Old Business <br />1. Treasurers Report <br />Tom Mayo reported $21.25 remains in the EDIC account. <br />2. Economic Development Strategy — review of updated Statement of Work <br />Tom Mayo referred to three documents he distributed to the members: <br />1. An email from Tom Mayo to the Cape Cod Commission sending EDIC's comments <br />and concerns regarding Mashpee Reset Project. He said he asked the Commission to <br />raise the threshold of development so that there is less oversight from the Commission for <br />some types of businesses. We had asked them to cover all of the uses that were in our <br />Economic Development Plan. The Commission can do a more in depth analysis going <br />forward but for these purposes they didn't want to review a use that was going to drive <br />more transportation impact into the park. As soon as this is done, we can and ask them <br />for an in depth review of different uses. Medical uses is part of what they consider R&D <br />with the exception of doctors' offices which would require a lot more traffic therefore a <br />lot more review. It also allows for R&D distribution, light manufacturing technology, <br />and certain kinds of medical uses such as laboratory and research uses. <br />2. Email responses from Commission Staff dated April 7, 2015. Tom Mayo said he was <br />fine with all of the responses from the Commission except for Task 5. The Commission <br />will be evaluating funding sources toward infrastructure in wastewater and transportation. <br />Tom said they didn't want to get into power or water infrastructure. They want to focus <br />on wastewater and the transportation, condition of the roads and sidewalks. Tom asked <br />
