Nichols
Attendees: Members: Brian Mauro, Barbara Nichols
Guests: David Sampson, Rick Santangelo, Assistant Harbormaster
The minutes of the September 24, 2015 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Debi
McManus and second by Brian Mauro.
Agenda topics
[Agenda topic 1] Lake level/ River outflow
Discussion: Barbara took the lake levels on October 1St and 15t". They were 55.2 and 55.3 feet above sea
level, with 11 and 11 %4 inches of water flowing over the board closest to the lake. There were 6 and 7.5
inches of water in the stream by the stairs below the fish way. Barbara reported another 1.75 inches of rain
recently, bringing the total rainfall up to nearly 7 inches in the past month. Levels were emailed to Drew
McManus in Conservation.
Conclusions: The levels were up slightly to 55.3 with the fall rain.
[Agenda topic 21 Wakeby Islands Posting Report
Discussion: Dave Sampson attended and reported being in contact with one of the group of Trustees of
the islands who gave permission to post the islands around Labor day. It was decided to get further
clarification in the spring and pass on to her the proper procedure for posting. Rich Santangelo noted a
letter should be written to the Police Dept. informing them of the posting and requesting enforcement. A
police officer would have to enforce the law with harbormaster's help to get out to the island.
Conclusions: Dave Sampson will update us again next spring on the posting of the islands.
