Public: Darryl Christensen Convene Meeting: 7:00 PM Public Comment: None Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the minutes of 1-13-15, 3-3-15 and 5-15- 15 made by Marques and seconded by Holmes. Vote: Unanimous for approval. Shellfish Constable's Report: It looks like it is going to be a relatively good scallop season in Waquoit Bay where our seed survived and grew well this year. Favorable algae blooms are resulting in fast growth and excellent survival of oyster, quahog and bay scallops seed this year. The new oyster propagation project in Shoestring Bay is going very well with fast growth as well. We started a new predator control project in August with crab traps in family shellfishing areas. These are catching mostly invasive green crabs which eat shellfish seed. We are crushing them and putting them in Nantucket Sound for fish food. New Waterways Assistant Marine Biologist Ashley Harrigan has been doing a great job working on propagation and water quality monitoring. The Harbormaster resigned effective August 1 to become Harbormaster at another town at a higher salary. Old Business-.- Comprehensive usiness:Comprehensive Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan (CWNMP) — Planning for implementation underway. New Business: Mashpee Department of Natural Resources — New Town Manager Rodney Collins issued Directive 2015-1 creating a new Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and transferring the Harbormaster, Assistant Harbormasters, Shellfish Constable and Waterways Assistants from the Police Department to the DNR. Shellfish Constable Richard York was designated as the acting Department head, and Richard Santangelo as acting Harbormaster. They will remain in the Police Department building until other arrangements are made. This Directive needs to be approved at May 2016 Town Meeting, because the October Town meeting warrant is already closed.
