Mashpee Waterways Commission <br /> Minutes of the January 13th,2015 Meeting <br /> Chairman Ken Bates called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM at the Mashpee Town Half in the Ockway <br /> Meeting Room <br /> Present: Ken Bates,Stanton Healy, Don MacDonald, Don Barton, Mike Richardson <br /> Absent;Al Wickel,Tim Leedham, Bill Taylor <br /> Minutes of the December 9th, 2014 Meeting: Motion made by Stanly Healy to approve minutes, 2nd by <br /> Don Barton and unanimously approved. <br /> Communications and Correspondence: <br /> Ken reported that a memo had been received from BSC Engineering Group on the status of a <br /> comprehensive dredging permit. <br /> Ken has contacted Drew McManus to arrange a meeting on a dinghy rack storage system and how to <br /> secure them.Stan Healy will also attend this meeting. <br /> Committee Reports Received: <br /> Waterway Improvements,and„©red„ging: <br /> Ken provided update for the dredging permits for the Approach Channel in the Popponesset Bay. An <br /> extension has been granted by the Federal Authorities to extend the 4093 permit until January 2016 and <br /> that all planned worked for 2015 will be conducted as scheduled. Ken also indicated that he will write a <br /> letter of acknowledgement to Steve Pinard on the success of the water quality testing program for 2014 <br /> and the critical data that was collected. <br /> Shellfish Constable Report: No Report <br /> Mashpee Wakeby Report: <br /> Don reported that were no new updates focusing on the previously identified concerns(boat size, <br /> speeds and safety issues)that were discussed in December 9th meeting. <br /> Popponesset Bay./Waquoit Bay Report: <br /> Ken related that the Waterways Commission is working with the engineering firm of BSC Group to <br /> complete our filing for a comprehensive dredging permit that will encompass the three existing dredging <br /> permits. State and Federal agencies are in receipt of the engineers data and have the data under review <br />
