facility enabling a more efficient and safe approach to water for the increase in shell <br /> fishing which is anticipated with the town's nitrogen mitigation programs for it's waters. <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby Management Committee: Don MacDonald reported that the fall <br /> edition of the Lake's periodical publication was available. <br /> Popponesset Bay & Waquoit Bay: Rick York mentioned that the winter sticks were in <br /> place. Several members mentioned that they had observed boating and fishing activities <br /> continuing on both bays. The weather has continued to have a positive impact on the <br /> enjoyment of Mashpee's waters. <br /> Water Quality: Don MacDonald mentioned that there was nothing new to report <br /> Public Access: Ken reported access to Mashpee waters via Daniel's Island has been <br /> restricted with the placement of several boulders. Rick York is considering moving the <br /> family shellfish area located there due to inaccessibility. <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging: Ken reported that inner channel <br /> dredging should begin soon. Material would be used to protect the 4th wash-over area. <br /> Save the Bay and the Town are working together to increase yields to 3600 cubic yards. <br /> Ken also mentioned that considerable maintenance work has been required on the <br /> county dredge. The comprehensive dredge plan is awaiting Army Corps of Engineers <br /> approval. It is hoped we would be utilizing the new permit in February of 2016. <br /> New Business: N1A, <br /> A motion to adjourn at 9:52 was made by Tim Leedham, 2nd by Stan Healy.
