Motions on Recommendations to be Submitted.to Board of Selectmen continued <br /> Enterprise Fund <br /> Motion: Richard Elrick motioned to recommend that the transfer station be set up as an <br /> enterprise fund. Catherine Laurent seconded this motion. <br /> Discussion: Glenn Santos spoke about the benefits of an enterprise fund system. He said other <br /> Town departments are run as an enterprise account. Oversight is done under State law.Tom <br /> O'Hara suggested Rick amend his motion to recommend to the Board of Selectmen in the future <br /> to look into possibility of an enterprise system. Richard Elrick stated he was not in favor of the <br /> amendment; and he let his motion stand. <br /> VOTE: 3-Yes; 5-No. The motion did not pass. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Catherine Laurent—yes Andrew McKelvey-no <br /> Tom Murphy—no Glenn Santos-no <br /> Rodney Collins---yes Richard Elrick—yes <br /> Tom O'Hara—no Wayne BevAcqua—no <br /> Motion: Tom O'Hara motioned to recommend the Board of Selectmen look into enterprise fund <br /> system for the transfer station in the future. Rodney Collins <br /> seconded this motion. <br /> Discussion: Andrew McKelvey suggested having the recycling Committee involved in the <br /> education process. Rodney Collins stated professional development clause would be included in <br /> vendor contract,which would provide ongoing educational development for workers. <br /> VOTE: 8-Yes.
