r <br /> MASHPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES OF JANUARY 12, 2012 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL, CONFERENCE ROOM 3 <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, Charles Maintanis, Patricia Parolski, <br /> Kathleen Moore,Michele Brady, and Marilyn Farren. Also present was Carol Sherman, <br /> Board of Selectmen liaison to the A.D.A. Committee. <br /> Absent: Mert Sapers <br /> Meeting convened at 2:05 p.m. <br /> Minutes of November 10, 2011 <br /> The following corrections were made to the minutes of November 10, 2011: <br /> Fourth Paragraph: Terrie Cook received an award in appreciation for her service as the <br /> Board of Selectmen liaison to the A.D.A. Committee. <br /> Sixth Paragraph: second and third sentence: "There also are other issues to be addressed, <br /> such as, lack of a curb cut serving the handicapped spaces in front of Orvis". <br /> Charlie Maintanis moved to accept the minutes of November 10,2011 with the <br /> corrections as noted. Marilyn Farren seconded. Roll call vote in favor: All members <br /> present were in favor with Trish Parolski abstaining. <br /> Secretary to A.D.A. Committee <br /> Bob Wooldridge advised the committee members that the secretarial budget was cut. <br /> Marilyn mentioned that it was cut for the rest of this fiscal year and for next fiscal year. <br /> Marilyn Farren volunteered to help out with the minutes which she asked to be reviewed <br /> again in July. <br /> Appointment and Swearing in of New Members and Membership <br /> Kathleen Moore and Michelle Brady were appointed to the A.D.A. Committee. Michelle <br /> indicated that she was sworn in. Kathleen said that she would check with the Town Clerk <br /> to see if she needed to be sworn. <br /> Bob W. mentioned that Mert Sapers is away until the May 2012 meeting. <br /> Bob W. said that there was a debate about a quorum as to whether positions vacant or not <br /> or just the appointees need to be present to vote. Kathleen said that it is just the <br /> appointees. <br /> Charlie M. asked whether the number of members on the A.D.A. committee was <br /> clarified. Bob W. said the Board of Selectmen has defined that there were seven <br /> positions available and no more than nine. Kathleen Moore will e-mail that portion of the <br />
