-5- Carol Sherman asked if the movie theatres have access. Bob W. said that they are pretty good. There is an incline to the restroom and there are wheelchair cut outs in the back. Kathleen Moore said that she had trouble mailing a letter to J.A.M. Specialists. It came back as unable to deliver. She scanned the letter to Jean McLaughlin. Jean verified that she had the correct address, South Cgpe Village Coml2liance with Re uired Access Improvements Charlie M. mentioned that they are waiting to do painting. They put a sign up across from Orvis and a van access placard near Marshalls's. They have not taken out a sign near Orvis where there is no curb cut. Andy will meet with Charlie. They have an idea that a 5' aisle is enough. They will re-stripe in front of Olympia for an 8 foot access aisle, Charlie said that he will talk with Melinda Gallant. Charlie commented that the Architectural Access Board has been around since the mid 70's and you need to be on site when they are laying out the parking and doing the paving! Bob W. said that he and Beverly drove through Popponesset and the work is continuing there. There is a concrete walkway through the Market Place. Beverly said that it is very narrow and dangerous and has the shells on either side. Charlie commented that they met the requirements of the A.D.A. and the A.A.B. He said that he went through the bathrooms at the market. There is a ramp that will extend after the doorway and there is a flat surface after that. Remote Participation and The Open Meeting Law Bob W. referenced a memo dated February 29,2012 from the Asst. Town Manager,Tom Mayo, regarding the Open Meeting Law and remote participation. Carol Sherman said that the Board of Selectmen are considering generating a policy and are looking for comments as to how it will impact Boards and Committees. She said that there are people that go to Florida and they call in. The Selectmen want to set a policy to call in once or twice. It will depend on what each committee feels is right for them. There has to be a quorum present at the meeting. Things have changed with the new open meeting law. Carol commented that a person can miss three times with excuses, illness,military or geographic reasons. The Selectmen want to set a policy and follow it. Comments on Input to the Mash ee Town.Report Bob W. advised the committee that he has submitted the A.D.A. Committee's town report. Committee members expressed that he did a"good job".
