New Laws Regarding Open Meetings: Marilyn Farren brought the Committee up to date about <br /> the new laws effective July 1, 2010 from the Ethics Commission at the State Attorney General's <br /> Office. Some notable changes are: Agendas must be posted 48 hours (business days) before a <br /> meeting. No add-ons may be made to an Agenda. Minutes must be made available within two <br /> weeks after the meeting. Powerpoints trust be referenced. Voting on Motions must include the <br /> names of the voters. Action items need a vote. All parties must take a test on-line to comply <br /> with State Ethics. Every two years participants must proclaim their honesty in writing. There <br /> are three handouts members must read about the Conflict of Interest Law and sign off that they <br /> read them. <br /> Letter ofAippreciation: Bob Wooldridge circulated a letter of appreciation to Patricia Lugo, the <br /> former School Business Manager, for her contributions to improve access to the disabled <br /> throughout the Town, particularly in the schools. Her attendance and contributions at ADA <br /> meetings were appreciated. <br /> Construction Committee Replacement. Trish Parolski requested that a replacement be found for <br /> her as the Construction Committee ex-officio member. She can no longer fulfill this obligation. <br /> They meet the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. A suggestion was made to have Jean <br /> Giberti get the agenda in advance and perhaps decide if it is necessary for someone to attend. <br /> Marilyn Farren will follow this up. Also, Bob Wooldridge will look at past Minutes from their <br /> meetings to see what they have been covering. <br /> Future Mee&g Schedule: The ADA will meet on the 2"d Thursday of the following months: <br /> January, March, May, July, September. Another date needs to be selected for November, since it <br /> falls on a holiday. These dates will be confirmed with the Town Clerk. <br /> Adjournment:There being no further business to conduct,Bob Wooldridge moved to adjourn, <br /> Trish Parolski seconded.
