Review/Approve Minutes of 04110/08 and 05/08/08 Meetings <br /> A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept as submitted the'minutes from the <br /> 4110108 meeting. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept as submitted the minutes from the <br /> 5108108 meeting. <br /> 2. Sidewalk from Mashpee Village to Rt. 151 —Mr. Pacheco <br /> Terri Cook stated that Joyce Mason spoke to Catherine Laurent regarding the need for repair <br /> and extension of the sidewalks along Ofd Barnstable Road from Rt. 151 to Mashpee Village. <br /> Joyce Mason was going to call Mr. Pacheco after speaking to Catherine Laurent, but Terri had <br /> no further information as to the outcome of that call. <br /> 3. Planning & Construction Committee Activities <br /> Fire Station: Trish Parolski reported that construction work on Fire Station #2 was ahead of <br /> schedule. Landscaping plans for the new Fire Station are being reviewed to determine ways to <br /> reduce the purchasing and maintenance costs by ordering less expensive plantings that are <br /> hardy and indigenous, thus requiring less upkeep. <br /> Library: The library has moved from its old location and is now occupying new temporary <br /> headquarters on Joy Street in South Cape Village. Library staff and patrons alike are very <br /> pleased with the new location. <br /> 4. Temporary Library Crosswalk-South Cape Village Parking <br /> Bob Wooldridge commented that there is a need for a crosswalk from the parking lot across <br /> Commerce Street to the Joy Street library location. It is dangerous for children and adults alike <br /> to cross this busy section of the road. Terri Cook recommended that Melinda Gallant, Manager <br /> of South Cape Village, be approached with the request to have a crosswalk installed at the <br /> expense of South Cape Village. Bob Wooldridge will speak to Charles Maintanis about the <br /> issue, as well. <br /> 5. Parking Patrols— Mert Sapers. <br /> Mert Sapers reported that he and his partner gave out 26 tickets during the past year. There <br /> currently are 8 patrols, with two members each, and three more patrols being formed. The <br /> patrols go out on different days, covering the entire week. <br /> 1 <br />
