committees, Committee members discussed building tip the membership and Ms. Farren offered <br /> to follow up with the Chief of Police to inquire about designating an officer to participate on the <br /> Committee. Selectman Sherman suggested the possibility of inviting a guidance/school <br /> adjustment counselor to become a member of the Committee. Ms. Farren inquired about the role <br /> of Ms. Goulat and Ms. Vaughn stated that Ms. Goulat is the Curriculum Director and responsible <br /> for professional development, including anti-bullying training. Ms. Farren noted that, initially, <br /> the Affirmative Action Committee was charged with developing ideas and activities to support <br /> the ADL but now others have been connected to the Committee to carry out the activities. Ms. <br /> Farren concluded that the ADL Conference was a wonderful opportunity to network and the <br /> ADL offers assistance if training is needed. Ms. Vaughn recommended contacting Ms,. Goulat <br /> about identifying other potential members. Selectman Sherman recommended reaching out to <br /> retired educators to participate in the Committee. <br /> Community Vigil <br /> The event was sponsored by the South Shore Coalition but has already taken place. <br /> No Name Calling Event <br /> Jane Emery invited the Committee to participate in a No Name Calling Event scheduled for <br /> January 26, and in coordination with Roche Brothers. The event is called Gingerbread <br /> Village/Charity Rocks. Town Hall will be assisting with the event by offering 50 bells for <br /> purchase (donations of$1-any amount) and the raised funds will be given to the needy. The <br /> school's festive event will incorporate a radio station, hot cider and possibly Chef John from <br /> Roche Brothers,. The bells will be on display in the Quaslinet School.
