r <br /> Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> October 4,2012 at 6:30 pm <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Berkeley Johnson, Kalliope Egloff,Allan lsbitz <br /> Also Present: Leila Botsford-Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Abbott called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES-September 4,2012 <br /> Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes of September 4th, 2012. Ms. Egloff <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Planned Production Plan <br /> Chairman Abbott stated that he was awaiting the status from Selectman Mike Richardson. <br /> Feasibility Study <br /> Chairman Abbott stated that he was also awaiting the status of the feasibility study but that he <br /> had forwarded a letter to the Town Manager with the motion made supporting a feasibility study <br /> for 249 Old Barnstable Road. <br /> Habitat for Humanity <br /> Mr. Johnson reported that Vickie Goldsmith had been in touch with DHCD and that paperwork <br /> had been submitted on all Habitat for Humanity units. Mr. Johnson stated that two of Habitat's <br /> early units, located in Mashpee, had been lost because their affordability had not been <br /> established in perpetuity, but instead had a 20 year agreement. Other units have since been <br /> deeded affordable in perpetuity. It was noted that there were more than 13 Habitat for Humanity <br /> units. Chairman Abbott suggested that town documents be reviewed to finalize the affordable <br /> housing count in Mashpee. <br /> Affordable Housing Brochure <br /> Ms. Egloff located the brochure and suggested that it needed to become print ready and printed. <br /> It was agreed to keep the document simple. The Chair recommended removing phone, fax and <br /> email since the Committee did not have the contact information, and instead use the main Town <br /> Hall phone number as a point of contact. There was consensus to have the document printed. <br /> Cottage housing <br /> To be discussed at another time. Ms. Egloff expressed her enthusiasm for the concept. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Activity and Accomplishments of the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Chairman Abbott described the Committee's re-establishment with new members, their review <br /> of applicable documentation and featured guest speakers in attendance at meetings. Lists of <br /> available properties were reviewed resulting in a listing of 8 potential affordable housing sites, <br />
