Chairman Abbott indicated that 147 Lovell's Lane was eliminated early in the process due to <br /> open space requirements and 42 Meetinghouse offered only 2 acres, and other sites were faced <br /> with wastewater and conservation issues. The Chair offered to share data about the sites with <br /> Ms. Botsford. There was discussion regarding the positive aspects of 209 Old Barnstable Road <br /> (3.8 acres) and the Chair stated that the AFC was seeping a feasibility study for the site, The <br /> Chair suggested that the MHA also pursue funds frown the CPC for a feasibility study but Ms.. <br /> Botsford indicated that the Board had decided not to request additional funds until Breezy Acres <br /> moved forward. Ms. Botsford stated that she would follow up with Laura. Shufelt regarding the <br /> availability of funds for the feasibility study. The Chair expressed interest in assisting the MHA <br /> with their efforts to increase affordable housing. <br /> Ms. Botsford expressed her desire to purchase existing homes, rehabbing there and turning them <br /> into affordable rentals. There was discussion about the advantages of more density to increase <br /> Maslipee's affordable housing, but it was noted that any progress would be helpful. Ms, <br /> Botsford suggested that the Plaza del Sol would be cost prohibitive to renovate. It was noted that <br /> Ashers Path was financially successful and met the needs of the community. There was <br /> discussion regarding Great Cave and the expense of developing an affordable housing project, <br /> such as construction costs, infrastructure and pre-development costs. <br /> Ms. Botsford reported that the MHA''s loan program was at full funding and very popular, <br /> helping 40 people. Letters of appreciation have been received and the MHA was hopeful that the <br /> CPC would continue to fund and/or increase the funding of the program. Ms. Botsford offered to <br /> return in January to provide an update to the AFC but Ms. Egloff recommended that Committee <br /> members attend the January CPC meeting to hear the update. <br /> OTHER ITEMS <br /> Barnstable Lottery <br /> The Chair stated that a number of lotteries were taking place Capewide. <br /> CILAYA Regional Meeting <br /> Enterprise Article <br /> It was a good article. <br /> Remote Participation Policy <br /> Chairman Abbot signed off on the policy and informed the Committee about the policy. <br /> ME,ETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> The next meeting will be November 13 at 6:30 pm. <br /> Ms. Egloff made a motion to adjourn.
