Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> December 4, 2012 at 6:30 pm <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Berkeley Johnson, Kalliope Egloff, Allan Isbitz <br /> Also Present: Selectman Michael Richardson <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Abbott called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES-November 13, 2012 <br /> Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Mr. Abbott seconded the <br /> motion. 2 voted yes, 1 abstained <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Feasibility Study <br /> Selectman Richardson reported that more information was expected from Laura Shufelt regarding the <br /> status of the request for funds. Mr. Johnson inquired about the location of the application and the <br /> Chair responded that the Town Manager had sent it to the Housing Partnership. Selectman Richardson <br /> confirmed that both the Housing Production Plan and the application had been completed and <br /> forwarded to Laura Shufelt to pursue the grant for the feasibility study. <br /> Chairman Abbott recommended that the Committee consider recommending a Warrant Article for <br /> $10,000 to fund a feasibility study. Selectman Richardson indicated that the deadline for Warrant <br /> Articles was February. It was noted that if funds were received from the State, the Warrant Article <br /> could be withdrawn. Selectman Richardson will provide the appropriate wording for the Article to <br /> Chairman Abbott. <br /> Ms.Egloff made a motion that the Affordable Housing Committee propose an application to the <br /> Town Meeting in May for a feasibility study for Old Barnstable Road, funds to be taken from the <br /> Community Preservation Committee or any and all sources.
