Selectman <br /> Richardson reported that 3 pieces of property had been identified for afrordable.housing and approved by <br /> residents at the May Town Meeting in 2010. Selectman Richardson suggested that the information should <br /> e provided to the Affordable Dousing Committee, but that these lots had been in the works for some time <br /> when the Affordable Housing Committee was less active. Selectman Richardson stated that the RFP is <br /> standard and has been used in the past. Mr. Abbott recommended that the information be provided to the <br /> Committee in advance and expressed interest in reviewing the RFP and possibly adding green <br /> components. Selectman Richardson suggested the possibility of adding a preference for Mashpee <br /> residents. Selectman Richardson reported that 1 lashpee resident Torn O'Hara questioned whether Habitat <br /> for Humanity would utilize Mashpee contractors to complete the work. It was noted that it was likely that <br /> contractors offering the most competitive prices would be utilized alongside volunteers. <br /> Mr. Johnson recommended that the Affordable HousingCommittee be included in the process prior to a <br /> I <br /> town vote. The Public Lands Tax Taking Properties document is a map of land owned <br /> the town and highlighted for open space, affordable housin mixed use or wastewater use.
