t <br /> Ms. Egloff applauded Mr. White's efforts and willingness to stand up for' what he believes in. 'Ms. Egloff <br /> noted that.other solutions have not been successful and that it was important to consider other means to <br /> access affordable housing but agreed that there were many details that needed to be considered. Ms. <br /> Egloff inquired whether Barnstable County, through the Cape Cod Commission, could provide oversight <br /> since their affordable housing was really well run and since they have fiduciary responsibility. Ms. Egloff <br /> referenced the Harvard School of Public Health and a moving loan provided to employees and suggested <br /> looking at their model and whether an employer could be incorporated into 1Vlashp ' plan. <br /> - <br /> Mr. White Mated that there was no such thin n easy affordable housing project or solution but <br />� � g � gp � <br /> suggested that a fund could be established quickly. lir. White also recommended that more localized <br /> solutions have a greater impact and results rather than at a larger level, such as the County or the State. <br /> The.proposed revolving loan ftmd would provide a helping hand rather than a hand out to Mashpee <br /> neighbors. Ms. Egloff stated her preference for seeking a vote from the Town and recommend that a plan <br /> be developed in order to be considered for October. Selectman Richardson noted that the Tribal Council <br /> had a similar program in place and will forward information about the contact person to Mr. White. Mr. <br /> White stated that the need was urgent and that he was willing to work with the Committee. Chairman <br /> Trebat agreed with IVIS. Egloff'about requiring more detail before presenting it to Mashpee residents. Mr.. <br /> j White indicated that he would contact the Tribal Council and follow up with the Committee. <br /> Discussion of the Draft Affordable Mousing Plan <br /> Mr.Newton distributed a memo summarizing changes to the plan from the original October/November <br /> 2010 draft to members of the Committee. Mr.Newton stated that the original plan was based on data <br /> from 2000 data but that 2009 census estimates could now be incorporated. <br /> Mr. Newton referenced his memo and the sections in the plan that can now be updated with the Zoo <br /> estimates, such as housing supply, housing market and demand. Chairman Trebat inquired about the <br /> timeframe Mr. Newton had planned in order to update the information. Mr. Newton responded that he <br /> was working 19 hours per week and hoped to update the information over the next 2 onths. Mr.Newton <br /> vton <br /> stated that he wanted to provide the updated information in order to discuss the plan. <br /> Ms. Egloff inquired whether the Committee could prioritize the information needed, such as affordable <br /> housing demand, so that the Committee can pursue their affordable housing plans. Chairman Trebat <br /> added that the data was necessary to support decisions that creed to be made about projects in order to <br /> advise the Affordable Mousing Trust.
