Newton noted that he removed his prior recommendation to <br /> consider a regional collaboration because it would be too large of a program, Mr. Newton recommended <br /> that Chapter 40B be reviewed and amendments recommended in order for the program to work better. <br /> The current 40B program provides no empowerment to the community to deal with the problem. <br /> Chairman Trebat reported runt C A A meeting conversations about creating a streamlined local 40B <br /> process that would allover a local permitting process rather than the state's 40B process. lir. Newton <br /> . questioned the necessity of 10%affordable housing for every community, suggesting that some <br /> communities may require less. Mr.Newton reported that the Cape Cod Commission has suggested that <br /> no community is close to meeting the 10% goat. <br /> Mr. Newton referenced the production plan and the need for the Committee to assist with developing the <br /> plan. Mr. Newton stated that he will make the changes and work with the Committee over the next two <br /> months. Chairman Trebat asked that the draft be forwarded by email in advance of the meeting in order <br /> to be reviewed and stated that Mr. Newton and Mr. Fudala were always welcome to attend Affordable <br /> Housing Committee meetings. <br /> Development Subcommittee <br /> The Affordable Mousing Trust has asked the Committee to take the lead in finding appropriate projects for <br /> consideration by the Frust. Chairman Trebat suggested the possibility of creating a Development <br /> Subcommittee to develop an action plan in between meetings. The working group outside of meetings <br /> would be responsible for carrying the ball forward in order to develop an RFP for the Frust. <br /> Ms. Egloff inquired whether a mission statement had been developed for the Trust since projects should <br /> not be identified without a mission. IIs. Egloff indicated that the book about Affordable Housing Trusts <br /> suggested that mission statements be developed first.so that everyone is on the same page. Mr. Abbott <br /> expressed his interest in sitting on the subcommittee and suggested consideration.of 950 Falmouth Road <br /> for an apartment complex. Chairman Trebat asked Mr. Abbott to serge as chair to gather information <br /> about available sites and identify whether the parcels potentially meet or do not meet affordable housing <br /> needs, Chairman Trebat volunteered to sit on the subcomt nittee. It was recommended that Mr. l etschel <br /> be invited to join the subcommittee. Selectman Richardson will follow up regarding a rm sion statement <br /> for the Trust. Ms. Egloff will provide information to Mr. Johnson and Selectman Richardson. <br /> Moving Forward on the Affordable Mousing Committee Brochure <br /> Ms. Egloff reported that the tent for the brochure was complete but that someone was needed to provide <br /> graphic hic desi services. Chairman Trebat VAR for-ward the brochure to Any Snider to see if she or her <br /> husband would be willing to provide the graphic design for the approved text. Selectman Richardson <br /> indicated.that he has worked with a graphic designer and printer. ibis.
