v <br /> r <br /> Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> July 6, 2010 at 7 pm <br /> Conference Boom 1, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Alan Trebat, Kalliope Egloff, Amy Snider, Berkeley Johnson <br /> Also Present: Assistant Town Planner Bill I ewton <br /> Absent: Bud Abbott <br /> Call to order <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Alan Trebat at 7:06 pm. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> motion was made by Ms. Egloffthat the Mashpee Affordable lousing Committee meeting <br /> minutes for June 1, 2010 be approved asis. Ms. Snider seconded the motion. All voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> Review of lousing Assistance Corporation and Mashpee Housing Authority Comprehensive <br /> Permit Application for 570 Barnstable Road <br /> Mf. Trebat was in receipt of the permit application for 570 Barnstable Road and distributed the <br /> document to Committee members. In the future, the secretary for the Zoning Board of Appeals will <br /> notify the Affordable Housing Committee ofany projects regui ng review and provide copies of the <br /> permit applications in advance of the meeting. IVIS. Egloff questioned whether the information could <br /> be made available electronically but it was noted that plans would be difficult to scan. More <br /> information was requested regarding Mashpee's ability to scan the Information, <br /> The application for 570 Barnstable Road will be considered at the next ZBA meeting on July 14. Mr. <br /> Trebat reported that the project appeared straightforward and involved 10 additional units at Breezy <br /> Acres to be leased and managed by HAC. The housing will be made available as rental housing to <br /> residents with % or under Ate. The application includes technical design and planning <br /> I <br /> Ms. Egloff suggested that agendas and packets of information be provided two weeps prior to the <br /> meeting in order to be prepared to offer comments on documents and further stated that if Mr. Trebat <br /> reviewed the document that she would support his decision. Ms. Egloff added that two experienced <br /> agencies would be managing the project. Mr. Trebat offered to attend the ZBA meeting to voice the <br /> Affordable Housing Committee's support of the application. <br /> notion was made by Nis. Egloff that the Affordable Housing Committee support the Housing <br /> Assistance Corporation and Mashpee Housing Authority Comprehensive Permit Application for <br /> 70 Barnstable Load as is. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. Ali voted unanimously. <br /> FIs. Snider recused herself from the motion supporting the permit application stating that her husband <br /> worts for the Horsley Witten &oup, Inc. <br /> Comprehensive Plan,Affordable Housing Element 2010 Update, 2nd Draft-Bill Newton, Asst. <br /> Town Manner <br /> Mr. Trebat questioned whether Committee members had comments about the second draft of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan as it relates to the Affordable Dousing component. Ir. Trebat questioned Mr. <br /> Newton about any significant changes to the latest draft. Mr. Trebat suggested that goal number one <br />
