The minutes from previous meetings will be <br /> reviewed at the next meeting. Mr.Santos discussed the forum at Mashpee High School, Gosnold <br /> presented and the police department brought drug sniffing dogs. There was a presentation about social <br /> media and a slideshow.The feedback was good,the attendance was low, about 40 people attended. <br /> Kathy Mahoney spoke about a possible summer reading program about social media and the kids <br /> reading the book, "irules"the author coming to speak in August. <br /> Joan Gil-Martin gave an update on the Purple Flag Program. One thousand flags have come in, 333 flags <br /> will be planted in each rotary. Cape Cod Healthcare, Cheryl Bartlett paid $895.00 for the flags with help <br /> from the town manager. The Cape Cod Times will be covering the event and the police have offered <br /> support. The Kiwanis will,be supplying pizza for the kids. The Flags will be planted at 8:00pm on June <br /> 19, 2015, Friday before Father's Day. Mashpee TV. Will be covering the event next Friday. <br /> Mrs. Gil-Martin spoke about the town in Rhode Island where everthing was purple for a day. The <br /> possibility of student forums at the High School, separate for parents and children. Mr. Gil-Martin will <br /> be sponsoring a fishing tournament and there would be weekly and monthly prizes. <br /> Gail Wilson gave an update from the Barnstable County Regional Substance Abuse Council. There are 17 <br /> focus group, with eleven completed. There were 99 prescribers who participated in the Scope-of Pain <br /> trainings. Donna Mello presented from the AIDS Support group, they are one of only five needle <br /> exchanges in the state. The largest number of overdoses recorded are in Barnstable and Falmouth. <br />
