Joan Gil-Martin gave an update on the Purple <br /> Flag Program. One thousand flags have come in, 333 flags will be planted in each rotary. The town <br /> manager has the boxes of her flags in the office. Approximately 8 to 10 project purple kids will be <br /> planting the flags. Chris Santos said things were in place from the school piece. Chris discussed having <br /> an assembly at the end of school to give kids an option to talk, he will speak to Principal Gilrein about it. <br /> Mentioned having Joseph Morrison as a motivational speaker. Discussed having a Mashpee community <br /> week the first week.of September. Also, a stand at the beginning of school along with club sign up. Joan <br /> Gil-Martin said Nauset wants to get their Project Purple running. Cindy Burke with CUDFRE spoke about <br /> the purple flag project. Hope Schwam with the Mashpee Waponagog tribe spoke about their tribal <br /> action plan, agreement that Mashpee Cares should have an action plan. She would like to formally join <br /> Mashpee Cares, Gail Wilson suggested she contact the town manager's office. <br /> Cindy Burke from CUDFRE spoke about the work of their group. Chris Santos said he personally is <br /> sponsoring a GOFUNDME account, now up to $485.00,to help Cape Cod with the heroin addiction <br /> problem, he is also on Facebook,twitter and Instagram. Chris said $3.00 goes to fund, 220 followers, <br /> funds will be used for the school event. <br /> Polar Cave ice cream will be holding a fundraiser originally if you ordered a purple ice cream will be <br /> donating but now any flavor ice cream. <br />
