Gail Wilson talked about the Regional Substance Abuse Council, Mike R. suggested Beth Albert attend the next meeting to discuss coalition building and focus. Mike made a motion for Gail Wilson to ask Beth Albert to come to the next meeting. Chris seconded the motion. Chris Santos discussed possibility of a subcommittee, seven people is a large group, possibly a social media subcommittee. Mike R. states the ultimate goals is getting people to attend the meetings. Chris Santos discussed the September 25, 2015, Cape Cod Run from Addiction, Hope Schwom spoke about the Tribal Health fair open to the public. Town Manager Collins spoke about rejuvenating the committee, create a set of objectives, well defined goals. This is such a serious problem any contribution each committee member can make is significant, we need to focus, we are losing people to addiction. Gail Wilson, suggested looking at MADD Strengthening Families Program. Mike R.would like to have banners that say Mashpee Cares. Hope Schwom states we need to do strategic planning, are we a coalition or a committee? Kathy Mahoney brought up the Mashpee Cares website is misleading, need to figure out who is answering the emalls. Mike states this will start with having Seth at the next meeting.
