TIER BUSINESS
Everyone was very pleased with the brochure and letterhead. The brochures will be
distributed at the library, churches, town hall: the bank, Tribal Council, and an' ywhere
else the committee deems appropriate.
•
Rev. Cynthia Green, Afire Lopez, and Zella Eli enberry attended the Community
Preservation Act Committee meeting. They felt the Chairperson was positive towards the
committee. They did not have a good feeling from the other members of the cornmiftee
towards this committees' application. Alice thought there were going to be more
interviews for the available funds. It was felt that another application had a better chance
for the funds because this committee does not have a project underway. Zella will find
out who will be rewarded funds.
John C lah ne notified Zella of a Technical Assistance Programs Grant, The grant is
limited t $5000. The request will be different from the request from CPA. We will not be
given first preference because we were awarded last year. Charlotte and Zella will work
n the grant together next week.
• ,Deborah Battles is interested in sitting on committee again. Cynthia mentioned ars
associate that sent a letter of intention to sit on the board. The letter has not be received,
but Cynthia will follow up with her associate, and Zella will see if it-is in the Selectmen's
office. Zella has been trying to convince Mr. Peoples to sit on the board. It was clarified
that nine was the number of members able to sit on the board. However' he would step
aside if Deborah was interested. It was left that maybe he could become an advocate
for those times that we did not have quorum.
• The.July meeting will be on ,July 11.
• Charlotte will attend the Housing Assistance Corporation fundraiser for the Cape vide
Initiative for housing of our work source. Anyone that can attend was encouraged to do
so if their schedules permits.
• CPA Committee are interested in seeing the Town of Mashpee Affordable Housing
Survey. Charlotte will copy and send to thein.
AGENDA SUGGESTIONS:
• Juliette Silvia to address the committee for the vacant seat.
Cynthia motioned to adjourn the meeting. John seconded the motion, and the motion was
carried. The meeting was adjourned at 910 p.m.
NEXT MEETING...Tuesda , J6ne 6, 2006 at 7:00 pm Mash pee Town Hall
lespotfully submitted by, ,
Denise E. MacFarlane, Board Secretary
