Board of Assessors Meeting Paqe <br /> Town Meeting warrant _Articles - Assessing Department continued <br /> warrent article requested by an elected Board. When he came to <br /> Mashpee, he was informed that the procedure is legal , and Mir. <br /> Bailey feels the procedure is wrong even though legal 0 Lengthy <br /> discussion followed. <br /> The second article, to approve deferral for water <br /> betterments that would be used in ' conjunction with the tax <br /> deferral , will appear on the warrant. <br /> The third article to extend the Rural Account, now three <br /> years old, must be renewed, and will appear on the warrant. <br /> The fourth article to add $10 , 00.0 to the Rural Account has <br /> been postponed until November, and Mr. Bailey agreed to this so <br /> that money could be taken from Free cash rather than Taxation. <br /> Discussion followed. Robert DeLory suggested the $10, 000 <br /> for the Rural Account be eliminated and added, instead, to the <br /> Data collector ' s salary. Mr. Bailey stated he hopes that article <br /> will remain it is a tight budget season! .' <br /> There being no further business before The Board for <br /> discussion, Robert DeLory made motion The Board adjourn the <br /> meeting; Kenneth Porter made second the motion; motion passed; <br /> unanimous decision.
