Board of Assessors meeting Page <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of April 12 , 1994, (continued) <br /> mandatory as long as the job is less than $10 , 000 . <br /> Specifications can be given by phone; then, all requirements can <br /> be stated in the written contract that would otherwise be stated <br /> in the RFP. David Bailey expressed opinion that this route <br /> probably will be the best course to follow. <br /> Kenneth Porter made motion The Board accept The Minutes of <br /> The Meeting of April. 1 , 1994 , as printed and as discussed; <br /> Cobert DeLory made second the motion; motion passed; unanimous <br /> decision. The Minutes of The Meeting of April 12 , 1994 were <br /> accepted by The Board. <br /> LD BUSINESS: <br /> Meeting for Users of Patriot Properties ' Software <br /> Chairman Greig questioned if David Bailey and Susan ollur <br /> attended the meeting sponsored by Patriot Properties , especially <br /> relative to a betterments software program, David Bailey <br /> informed that it was a "users ' meeting" . The company is worming <br /> on a betterments program to find out how much work is involved <br /> before a price is established. Patriot will not be able to start <br /> actual work on the project until September of this year. 'it is <br /> in the process of snitching over all of its software programs <br /> onto a more modern operating system - all of its software people <br /> are extremely busy. <br /> David Bailey further informed that the meeting was a very <br /> good one. There were about 100 people in attendance - many bad <br /> the same problems and/or questions ; the company now employs about <br /> o people. All of lashpee ' s questions were answered; the system <br /> was already capable of performing functions of which - Mr. Bailey <br /> and Ms . Collura were not aware because the changes had not been <br /> publicized. The system is quite complicated. <br /> Chairman Greig questioned why Patriot does not update its <br /> manual - a problem ongoing for the past three years . Mr. Bailey <br /> informed that the updated manual has been completed and is <br /> scheduled for printing.. He explained that this problem stemmed <br /> f roan the start up, of the company - it expanded so quickly that <br /> the software was being improved constantly; by the time a <br /> particular section of the manual was completed - it was already <br /> outdated '. . Patriot Properties does more than other companies <br /> relative to updating customers with changes - many of them <br /> dramatic . <br />
