Board of assessors M oting Page <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> schooling for Members of Assessing Department <br /> Vice Chairman DeLory asked if Joseph Polito, the new Data <br /> Collector, will be attending school this summer. David Bailey <br /> informed that Mr. Polito must first complete his probationary <br /> period. Mr. Greig informed that Mr. Polito wants to learn his <br /> jab first. <br /> David Bailey informed that Ms , Susan Collum will be <br /> attending school this summer. Short discussion followed. <br /> Records Accompanying Minutes of Meetings <br /> Chairman Porter announced that David Bailey has brought up <br /> an informative point . . . all records that accompany Minutes -of <br /> Meetings cannot be destroyed. Mr. Porter stated that Assessing <br /> is running out of file space. <br /> Leslie Greig made comment that, according to a recent memo, <br /> the 'down Clerk, who is supposed to re ei e copies of all Minutes <br /> of Meetings , does not want them because there is no file <br /> space <br /> David Bailey suggested that Assessing have all of Its <br /> records permanently bound. Chairman Porter suggested the records <br /> by microfilmed. Mr. Bailey agreed microfilming records in <br /> a batch may not be so costly. However, this process may be <br /> allowed only as backup to permanent records he will check <br /> n this issue. <br /> Delinquent 'faxes <br /> Chairman Barter expressed opinion that Assessing should <br /> present the collective list of delinquent taxes to the Tax <br /> Collector so that she may be able to present it to the Board of <br /> Selectmen so that the other Boards may try to collect these taxes <br /> by refusing to honor permits , licenses ,, etc . He asked if this <br /> list has been completed. Discussion followed. <br /> David Bailey questioned what directlon Assessing should <br /> follow after the list is submitted . Leslie Greig recommended <br /> that the lists which the Assessing Department Clerks have <br /> prepared should be added to with information from David Bailey <br /> regarding Commercial Personal Property . Mr. Bailey agreed to do <br />
