PORTER, CHAIRMAN <br /> The Executive- Session was called to order by vice Chairman <br /> Delory at p.m. <br /> HEARING <br /> Appeal for Real Estate Tax Exemption Under Clause 1 <br /> Map 1 , Parcel 33 <br /> Randall U rin , Owner <br /> David Bailey informed The Board that the information <br /> requested from the Veterans Administration relative to <br /> verification of Mr. Randall. Spring ' s V.A. Disability has been <br /> received. <br /> Mr . Bailey recommended that Mr . Spring inform The Board of <br /> pertinent information relative to his appeal for real estate tax <br /> exemption under Clause 18 because it is The Board ' s <br /> responsibility to determine if' ' he qualifies .- <br /> Mr . Spring informed that since his return from military duty <br /> in Saudi Arabia, he has developed multiple chemical syndrome from <br /> that geographic area - he developed cancer of the testicle - the <br /> testicle was removed. He also developed a deterioration in the <br /> lower back area; , this has prevented him from returning to work. <br /> Be has filed for Social. Security Disability Benefits and <br /> Veterans benefits - both cases are pending. <br /> Mr. Spring expressed concern that he will be unable to pay <br /> his current real estate tax obligation. He fears that he will <br /> lose all that he has gained since roving. to Mashpee soon after h <br /> returned from Saudi Arabia . He recently purchased a house on <br /> Cotuit Road and has put a. lot of work into uprating the. poorly <br /> maintained property. • <br /> Mr , Spring stated that he is appealing to Board Members for <br /> some modest monetary relief to ease h1s temporary situation. <br />
